So it looks like I have missed a few days ... a lot of days
actually! As I had stated before my mom had a stroke
and I spent 24/7 with her at the hospital and the rehab
center. She did so well with her recovery - she was sent
home a week early! I don't have any pics right now but
I will be back soon with some.

I think this may be my last post here for awhile.
And at this point this is going to be more of a
daily journal for me instead of a picture journal.
I need a place to vent - I hope you all don't mind.

I am sure after a few weeks I will get back to the
daily pictures. Thank you to all who read this and
take a moment to say a prayer for her.

I know it is working because I see the changes
in her progress daily! Even though we are strangers
the power of prayer has no boundaries.

My mom is doing a lil better and is going to a stroke
rehab center tomorrow.

I will have to come back and post my pics in a few days.

While at the hospital today my mom got flowers from
my best friend - Dana. It really brighten her day and
her being happy makes me happy! Thank you Dana
they are beautiful.

I spent the day at the hospital and there is no picture
for today. Having a tough time with mom still.

Yesterday I mentioned that my mom had surgery
on her knee. I had dinner with her and at that point
she was doing well - had some pain in the knee of
course - but other than that all was good.

I was awakened today by a phone call from my dad
saying get over here right now something is wrong
with mom. I thought maybe she took too many pain
pills and was having a lethargic reaction to that.
HOWEVER - when I got there my husband and I
realized it was a stroke and had 911 come get her
and take her to the ER. I have been there all day
and it could be so much worse - it is still bad but
she can talk (slurred) and move some on the left
side that is numb. We are thankful but still need
prayers for a fast and FULL recovery. The rehab
for this could take months! We have a long road
ahead of us.

And get this -- she told me "At least you have
something for your picture of the day!"
(I love ya mom)

First off - my mom had arthroscopic surgery on her knee
today. Everything went well!! I did not think it would be
a good idea to take her picture today so I will have to
wait a few days for that!

But today is National Pie Day. So who am I to not support
the cause. So we went and got a Boston Cream Pie!!

IT WAS SO YUMMY!!!

IT MUST BE THURSDAY!! My weekly tradition is to go
get a STARBUCKS coffee. Today I got a ToffeeNut Latte
with a pump of raspberry - don't knock it till ya try it!

OMG!! Look at the lil thief! This is my mom's lil dog - Suzie.
And when it is time to go BYE BYE she gets in her tote bag ...
and steals my dog's toys!! This time she got caught red-pawed!!

I know I am a day late but yesterday was one crazy day!
The Inauguration consumed most of my day. And WOW
what a day it was. I am so proud to be an American and
be a part of the CHANGE! I hope we will ALL get involved.

But nothing good happened today !! LOL So this
picture is from yesterday while the girls we skiiing.
Don't they look cute! Plus a nice view of Lake Tahoe
from the top of the mountain.

Today was a relaxing day around the house for me. The
rest of the family went snowskiing / snowboarding. I had
the day to myself and still it seems it was not enough to
get done the things I wanted to accomplish. I did not take
this picture, Tony did ... but it is too good not to post.













I love how they all have their iPods on them!!

Today was just a typical Friday. But boy this week
went by fast.
My mom came over today like she usually
does on Fridays and brought her two dogs as usual.
See Jan 7th below for their pics! Her two are ShihTzu's like
our lil one - Mercedes. Her youngest- Suzie - likes to
lick the face of my big dog - Pepper. So to avoid her,
Pepper tried to hide today - she laid in Mercedes'
lil dog bed ...

well kinda "in" it. More like SMASHED it! She
is at least 4 times the size as Mercedes!! Too funny!
